Mothman

Mothman is a metal band from Austin, Texas, active since 2013. Its style is described across grindcore, math rock, mathcore, post-hardcore and hardcore, with the band name also linked to the broader grindcore and post-hardcore scenes.

The name has also been used by other acts in Norway, New York and New Jersey, but the Austin group is the metal band associated with the city in Texas. In that form, Mothman focuses on abrasive, extreme music and sits within the overlap of grindcore and more rhythmically complex forms such as math rock and mathcore.
