Monya is a techno and industrial artist based in Berlin, Germany. She is originally from Poland and has been active in the scene since 2009.

Career

Monya builds her reputation through club bookings in Berlin and internationally, with performances in New York, Spain and France, as well as elsewhere around the world. She plays repeatedly at Tresor and at underground parties. Her work gains support from producers including Perc, Bas Mooy, Rebekah, Steve Stoll, Jeroen Search and Mike Parker.

Releases and label work

Her first album appears on BCR in 2013. In 2014 she launches her own label, Corresponding Positions, and uses it to support new artists by releasing their material. Her production work centres on industrial techno, although her output is not limited to one style and includes experimental elements.

Performance style

Her live sets reflect an experimental approach, with different sounds and a broad electronic music focus. She continues to work within techno while developing her sound through production and performance.
