Mollie Marriott is a British singer-songwriter from Henley-on-Thames, born in 1985. She is the daughter of Steve Marriott and starts performing at an early age, continuing a family connection to live music.

Early career

Her first record deal is as a member of the girl group D2M when she is 12. The group signs to Sharpe End and follows a pop path associated with Kylie. During her time with D2M, she records with producer Steve Mac for five years.

Session and live work

Marriott builds a varied career as a vocalist across album, DVD and live projects. She records with Joe Brown, sings lead and backing vocals for Dean Rees, and contributes to Sweet Felicity Arkwright. She also sings on The Tsunami Appeal for Mod Aid, where she performs lead vocal on the single Afterglow. In addition, she provides backing vocals for P. P. Arnold, Oasis and Proud Mary.

Her live appearances include the Astoria London tribute to her father Steve Marriott, where she performs with Paul Weller, Zak Starkey and Deborah Bonham. She also appears at the Royal Albert Hall with Dean Rees and Steve Ellis as part of the Ronnie Lane Memorial Concert. Later, she works live with Joe Brown and his band, and takes part in a week-long run at the Theatre Royal Windsor while previewing songs for Musical Skiffle, written by Joe Brown and Roger Cook. She also sings backing vocals for Joe Brown, Dennis Locorriere, Mark Knopfler and Chas and Dave at Joe Brown’s 50 years in show business concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Style and other projects

Alongside her rock work, Marriott is also known for soul and R&B sessions, including work with Beyoncé and Mutya. She is a member of Zeppelin Symphonic and also performs with Union Chain, a band noted for its original material and Fleetwood Mac influence.
