Moho
Moho are a sludge and doom metal group from Madrid, Spain, formed in 2003 after the end of Like Peter at Home. The band begins with Raúl on guitar, Iñaki on bass and vocals, and Eduardo on drums. Their sound is shaped by long rehearsal sessions and by influences from bands such as Electric Wizard, Bongzilla, Black Sabbath and High on Fire.
Early activity and live shows
Moho start playing live in the summer of 2003 and quickly build a reputation for strong musicianship and powerful performances. After these first shows, they play regularly across Spain, often appearing almost every weekend. In October 2003 they complete a mini European tour through France, Germany and Denmark, which helps establish them in the European underground scene.
First album and touring
During a break in that tour, Moho record their first album, 20 uñas, in Paris in a single session. The album is released in June 2004 on Throne Records in Europe and Shifty Records in the United States, and it receives positive attention from underground press and listeners. In March 2004 the band tour again as support for Brainoil, playing 22 concerts in 22 days in countries including France, Spain, Germany and Belgium.
Later activity
Moho continue writing new songs and playing shows throughout Spain, as well as touring in other parts of Europe. Their live dates include Belgium, France, Holland, Denmark, Hungary, Sweden, Austria and Germany. The band are also linked with On The Moon Records.
