Modern Faces
Modern Faces is a four-piece indie rock band from Dunfermline. Their sound is described as drawing on 1960s influences while taking attitude and swagger from the 1990s, placing them within indie rock, indie, Britpop and neo-psychedelia.
Band line-up
The band consists of Monty on lead vocals and guitar, Gaz on drums and vocals, Jim on bass guitar and Mick on lead guitar.
Career and live activity
Modern Faces play a range of venues including King Tut’s in Glasgow, the O2 Academy in Glasgow, the Alhambra in Dunfermline, Velocity in Dunfermline and the Dublin Castle in London. They also appear at events associated with Alan McGee, including Death Disco and Greasy Lips in Manchester.
The band supports acts including The Vortex, Sergeant, The Law, The Troubadours, Attic Lights and The Complete Stone Roses. Their first EP, No Mans Land, is launched at Velocity Nightclub in Dunfermline to a sold-out crowd of 850 people.
