Model Staggs are an alternative rock group from the United Kingdom. The group consists of Ash and Tom.

Recording and early release

The pair make recordings in an old sewing shed using a DIY approach. Their self-titled first release is a three-track digital download, recorded entirely in the back room of an upholstery factory and mixed at home using a laptop and an 80s hi-fi system.

Sound

Their music combines warped bass tones with thoughtful guitar melodies. The group’s limited size is offset by inventive songwriting and instrumentation, which gives their recordings an expansive sound.
