Moaning Cities

Moaning Cities is a Belgian psychedelic rock ’n’ roll group from Brussels, active from 2012 to 2017. Formed in the city in late 2011, the band builds its sound around blues roots, gritty rock guitars and sitar-driven psychedelia.

The group combines electric guitars with oriental instruments such as the sitar, saz and oudou, bringing together Western and Eastern sounds. Its music draws on old and contemporary influences and reflects the contrasting character of the cities the members live in and travel to.
