Mind Against
Mind Against is a Berlin-based electronic music group made up of Alessandro Fognini and Federico Fognini. The project begins in 2011 and draws on IDM, house and techno, with roots in the Italian background of the two members and an association with Berlin, Germany.
Releases
The duo releases its first single, “Cagliostro”, in 2012 on Life and Death. The following year it issues its debut EP, Atlant, on the same label. Its second EP, Avalon, also appears on Life and Death.
Remixes and collaborators
In 2012 and 2013, Mind Against records remixes for WhoMadeWho, Art Department, Róisín Murphy and Green Velvet. These remixes appear on labels including Kompakt, Cocoon Recordings, Vakant and Life and Death.
Sound
The group describes its sound as difficult to define, with influences that include the psychedelic hooks of 1980s soundtracks and the energy of European dance-floor culture.
