Million Stylez, born Kenshin Iryo, is a Swedish reggae and dancehall artist from Stockholm, originally from a French and Japanese family background. He also lives in Sollentuna, outside Stockholm, and is born in 1981.
Music and style
He starts out experimenting with hip hop at the age of nine before moving into singing and deejaying. His work spans reggae, dancehall, and songs with hip hop and R&B influences.
Releases
Million Stylez releases his debut album From A Far on KBC Music. The album includes material built around singles such as Without U, All Night, This Is Da Style, Miss Fatty, and Give Me The Strength. Earlier releases listed for him include It's On Tonight, What's Luv, It's All About Di G's, and Celebrate.
Reception and airplay
His singles receive airplay on Scandinavian television and radio networks including ZTV and The Voice, and also on Jamaican outlets such as RETV and Hype TV. Miss Fatty also receives strong play on BBC 1Xtra and is a top-selling track for its German distributor, Soundquake.
Performances and competition
In 2005, he reaches the final of Red Stripe Big Break, a Jamaican talent competition for new artists that draws more than 1,200 applicants, and finishes in fourth place after live shows, television, and radio interviews. He also performs alongside Sean Paul, Fabolous, Ne-Yo, Nina Sky, Wayne Wonder, T.O.K, Mr. Vegas, Ward 21, and others.
