Millers Daughter

Millers Daughter is a Wiltshire-based group made up of identical twin singers Christie and Loui. The pair grow up in the Stonehenge area and come from a musical family: their mother and aunt are both known locally as singers who perform with various bands in venues across the county.

They both receive guitars for their 11th birthday, and begin writing songs in their early teens. They spend time practising and rehearsing together, developing a twin performance dynamic shaped by their close musical connection, visual similarity and the usual differences and quirks that come with being twins.

While studying music at college, they play shows in pubs and clubs and work at Stonehenge to help pay for studio time and equipment. Their style draws on Fleetwood Mac, especially Lindsey Buckingham’s guitar playing, as well as The Dixie Chicks and ABBA, which influence their vocal approach.
