Milk White White Teeth
Milk White White Teeth are a Leeds-based group associated with indie, post-rock, experimental and indie rock. They emerge in spring 2009 and first build a local following in the city before appearing on the BBC Introducing Stage at the Leeds and Reading festivals in the same summer.
After those live appearances, the group records a session for BBC Radio 1 at Maida Vale Studios with Huw Stephens. Too Pure and Rough Trade then support the band by releasing its debut single, which is produced by Richard Formby, who also works on Wild Beasts’ Two Dancers.
The group begins as a nine-piece and later continues as a six-piece, describing this change as a rebirth and a move towards a different musical direction.
