Mikhael Paskalev

Mikhael Paskalev is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Ålesund, Norway. Born in 1987, he studies at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and begins performing under his own name in 2010. He is of Bulgarian and Norwegian parentage.

Style and influences

His music draws on pop, indie and alternative country rock, with folk rock also associated with his work. His performances range from acoustic songs with only guitar accompaniment to more elaborate arrangements using brass and a larger band. His songs are noted for melody and for a sound that combines catchy hooks with a rougher, rustic quality.

Early career

After finishing his music education in Liverpool, he begins performing as Mikhael Paskalev and works toward releasing singles and an album. He also plays concerts alongside Billie Van and Jonas Alaska.
