Mike Hulme

Mike Hulme is a DJ and producer from Manchester, UK who works in breakbeat and related underground club styles. He begins recording under the name Mike Hulme in 2009 after spending eight years using the alias Introspective. Under that earlier name, he builds a discography of more than 25 singles and three mix compilations, and he licenses material to Ministry of Sound, Fabric Live, Sony Playstation and Y4K.

Career

Hulme signs to Elite Force’s U&A Recordings and focuses on original productions and remixes. His first solo release on the label, 100mg, is described as one of the best techno tracks of the year by reviewers and fans. His music is often characterised as techy, rolling and hypnotic, with an emphasis on groove and dancefloor use.

DJ work and support

As a DJ, he plays a genre-crossing style intended to move between different moods and phases. His work under his own name receives support from Carl Cox, Dubfire, Slam, Popof and Laurent Garnier.
