Midnight City
Midnight City are a group from Voronezh, active from 2012 to the present. The act consists of long-time friends Jonny and Josh, who both start producing in the early 2000s before forming Midnight City in 2013 during a renewed interest in 1990s-inspired house music in the UK.
Their music centres on classic house and draws on disco house, UK house, French house, tech house and jackin' house. They release work on labels including Blackjack Records, FFRR, Glasgow Underground, Henry Street Music, Nervous Records, Spacedisco Records, Simma Black, Monoside, Motive Records and Jackies Music. They also run their own label, All Night Long Records.
In addition to original productions, Midnight City collaborate with Johnick, Folkness, Dilby and Kim English, and they remix work by Becky Hill, Marshall Jefferson, Mood II Swing, Crush Club, Supermini and Sam Dexter. Their writing and co-productions reach the UK singles and club charts, and they have platinum-selling status. Their catalogue also accumulates 100,000,000 streams on Spotify.
