Midfield Workhorse

Midfield Workhorse is a Kingston upon Thames four-piece that forms in 2013 and remains active. The group plays in the overlapping area of post-rock, rock, post-hardcore, emo and indie rock, and is described as a “bloke-rock / pony-metal / pump-indie” band.

Formation and membership

The band begins in summer 2013 in Kingston, UK. Early in its history, it includes former members of mistakes.in.animation and a current member of Tellison, with a later line-up also including a former member of Adequate Seven. At the end of the line-up changes, Midfield Workhorse consists of Del Noble, Dave Coleman, Rick Blake and Jamie Searle. Andy leaves the band before Jamie joins.

Releases and activity

After forming, the band plays a number of live shows before releasing its first EP, Bunch Of Damn Dogs, in 2014. It then continues to perform, including appearances at festivals, before issuing its second EP, Hokusai's Last Haiku, in 2017. The band remains active from 2013 onwards.
