Miccoli

Miccoli is a British alt-indie pop band formed by three siblings: twin brothers Adriano and Alessio, and their younger sister Francesca. The group takes its name from the family surname. It is active from 2014 and is associated with AFA Records.

Members and background

The band grows out of a family group from Birmingham, England. Adriano sings and plays acoustic and electric guitar. Alessio sings and plays piano and acoustic guitar. Francesca sings, plays piano and harmonica. They spend much of their childhood taking music lessons and performing in recitals, orchestras and choirs.

Style and influences

Miccoli’s music draws on contemporary pop, folk, blues, classical music and Motown. Their songs are described in the input as alternative rock, indie folk and indie pop, with an adult alternative, indie and pop rock character. Their arrangements combine melodic and eclectic elements with three-part harmonies.

Career

The band tours in the UK, the USA and Europe. Their live set works in both larger stage settings and more intimate acoustic performances. Their debut album, Arrhythmia, is released through AFA Records. The album is written, recorded and produced solely by the three siblings on a quiet island off the coast of Malaysia, and appears in 2019.
