Mic Righteous

Mic Righteous is a UK hip-hop and grime artist from Margate. At 17, he joins the Brixton-based rap crew the Kraftsmen. He features on Frantic Frank’s album The Hardway, which is independently released and distributed in large numbers before Mic turns 18, and the album also appears on the front cover of Hip-Hop Connection.

Early releases and collaborations

While working on his EP YOB CULTURE, Mic performs across the south of England, including support slots for Immortal Technique in Elephant and Castle and an appearance connected to BBC Electric Proms that features on BBC Asian Network. He also works on collaborations with Mongrol, a band made up of members linked to Arctic Monkeys, Babyshambles and Reverend and the Makers. These projects lead to his appearance on Lowkey’s album Dear Listener.
