Metrotone

Metrotone are a UK group associated with dream pop, twee, lo-fi and drone. They move from abstract pop towards more experimental material, and they attract interest from John Peel, Steve Lamacq, and NME writers Jade Gordon and Kitty Empire in 1997 and 1998. They also record a Peel Session in June 1998.

Recordings and releases

The group record for Earworm, Wurlitzer Jukebox, Myke Droner and Bad Jazz. A singles CD-R appears on Unlabel in 2006, and reissues are available for download on Enraptured Records in 2013. Vinyl remains available through Norman Records and Rocket Girl.
