Merky Ace is an MC from Lewisham in South London and a member of Family Tree, a collective of artists. He works in grime and related UK rap styles, and has collaborated with a range of artists in the grime scene.

He releases eight free promotional mixtapes and also puts out additional tracks for fans through MerkyACE.Bandcamp.com. His first mixtape, Blue Battlefield, is available commercially. He also appears on Family Tree’s free download Radio-Active, which focuses on their radio work.

Early appearances

At the age of 14, he makes regular appearances MCing between adverts on MTV Base as part of a project that also includes Big Narstie, Ghetto, Hypa Fen and Marcie Phonix.
