Memento

Memento is an Australian hard rock and alternative metal group from Australia, active from 2001 to 2007. The band forms in 2001 and centres on vocalist and keyboardist Justin Stewart Cotta, guitarist Space, bassist Leighton Kearns, and American drummer Steve Clark.

Recording and releases

The group releases its debut album, Beginnings, in 2003. Two singles come from the album: “Nothing Sacred” and “Saviour”. The band also has a music video for “Coming”. “Nothing Sacred” and “Saviour” both reach a moderate position on the US mainstream rock charts.

Live activity and split

Memento appears on the 2003 Ozzfest tour as a rotating second stage act. The band dissolves in late 2004 because of personal conflicts within the group and issues with its record label.

After the band

After Memento ends, the guitarist goes on to form the alternative indie duo Digital Daggers with vocalist Andrea Wasse.
