Melody's Echo Chamber

Melody's Echo Chamber is the main project of French musician Melody Prochet. Prochet, who is from Paris and is classically trained, previously performs in The Narcoleptic Dancers and My Bee's Garden before forming this project. The act works in dream pop and psychedelic styles, with a sound that also draws on psychedelic rock and indie elements.

Releases

The self-titled debut album appears in 2012 and is produced by Kevin Parker of Tame Impala. Its lead single and opening track, “I Follow You”, sets out a mix of 1960s-style melodies, guitars and psychedelic textures. The independently produced album Bon Voyage follows in 2018.

Musical character

The project’s songs are noted for layered arrangements, ethereal vocals, motorik rhythms, fuzzed guitars, sci-fi tinged synths and occasional shifts into jazzier or more distorted passages.
