MC Wrec, also known as Jon Bailey, is a British vocalist and music entrepreneur from Surrey. He grows up in Berlin, London, Southampton and Brighton, and begins performing in 1995 at a warehouse party in South Croydon.

He comes through London’s sound-system and pirate radio culture, performing over breakbeats, jungle, house, garage, hip hop and reggae. His influences include Michael Jackson, Cypress Hill, Nirvana, Alex Reece, LSK and Roots Manuva.

He later relocates to Southampton in 1998, where he gains a marketing degree, promotes shows, and founds the Distortion Crew and the hip hop group The Pickpockets. He also works as music PR manager for Addict Clothing.

MC Wrec becomes the frontman of London Elektricity and works with The Nextmen, Stanton Warriors and Timo Maas.
