Max Graef

Max Graef is a Berlin-born producer whose work moves between house, hip-hop, bass, techno, deep house and other hybrid forms. Raised in Berlin, he is associated with a generation of young electronic producers working across styles rather than within a single fixed genre.

Label work and releases

He runs the label Box Aus Holz, which focuses on raw house and disco and becomes a platform for emerging producers. Alongside his own imprint, he releases music on Tartelet Records, where his debut album appears, and he also has releases on Heist, Melbourne Deepcast, Sleazy Beats and The Gym.

Collaborations and wider profile

Graef is also set to appear on a DJ Kicks mix on !K7 compiled by Brandt Brauer Frick. His output is described as varied and well rounded, covering house and related styles as well as less easily defined in-between forms.
