Matt Robinson

Matt Robinson is a Virginia musician from the United States. The name is also used by more than one artist, including a performer who works as an actor, musician, theatre worker, corporate roleplay performer and voiceover artist, and a separate solo singer-songwriter originally from the North East of England.

One Matt Robinson is the singer and pianist in the British rock group Last Picture Show. He is also known for playing the bounty hunter Slade in the television series The Tribe, appearing in 52 episodes on Channel 5. Outside music, he works in theatre, corporate roleplay and voiceover.

Last Picture Show

Last Picture Show begins as a band from Reading. In 2004, Matt Robinson performs solo material from the group at a US convention, and the following year the band appears at Atlanta’s DragonCon before a crowd of 4,000. The band returns to DragonCon in 2006 to promote its debut album, Against The Current. In 2008, the group adds permanent drummer Gareth Cooper and records the Breaking The Cages EP, which is released in early 2011.

Solo work

Matt Robinson also releases a solo EP titled Awakenings in 2011.
