MATOMA

Matoma is the stage name of Tom Stræte Lagergren, a Norwegian DJ and record producer from Åsnes, Norway. Born in 1991, he works in EDM, house and tropical house.

He starts out on piano as a child and wins a contest that leads to performances alongside the Norwegian pianists Håvard Gimse and Leif Ove Andsnes. He later turns from classical piano to mixing on a computer.

Lagergren holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
