Masayoshi Fujita is a vibraphonist and composer based in Berlin. He works in ambient, instrumental and electronic music, and draws on classical music, jazz and other influences while pursuing an individual approach to vibraphone performance and composition.

Music and approach

Fujita is known for developing his own sound on the vibraphone rather than following conventional playing styles or composition theory. He also uses bows, beads and other objects to create unusual sounds on the instrument.

Recordings and label work

His first acoustic album, Stories, is released on Flau in 2013. He later signs to Erased Tapes.
