Martyn

Martyn is the electronic producer Martijn Deykers, from Geldrop in Eindhoven, born in 1975. He works in dubstep and post-dubstep, and is associated with a broad bass-led sound that is also linked in the input to dubstep, techno, drum and bass and UK garage.

His music develops from a mix of influences that includes Detroit techno, Chicago house and hip-hop. Exposure to drum and bass in its mid-1990s peak is described as the catalyst for his musical ideas and the beginning of his work as a DJ and producer.
