Martin Buttrich

Martin Buttrich is a German electronic music producer and DJ associated with deep house, minimal techno, tech house and techno. He works under his own name and is also linked to a number of earlier project names and groups, including Phunk Diggaz, Digital City, Orinoko, [O], Sounds of Life, Mad Dogs, Kinetic A.T.O.M., Riot Rhythm, Definitive Vibes and Airpack II.

Production work and solo releases

He is known for production work for Timo Maas and Loco Dice, and later gains wider recognition as an artist in his own right. One of the releases associated with that shift is Full Clip on Carl Craig’s Planet E label. He also returns to Four:Twenty Recordings for Well Done, a release described through its deep, melodic and minimal approach.

Style and collaborations

Buttrich’s work is characterised by deep, minimal and techno-based production, with emphasis on pulsing bass, dry percussion and groove-led arrangements. He also remixes Serafin, bringing a different treatment to material connected with Cadenza and Mountain People.
