Mark Thomas

Mark Thomas is an English comedian, writer, activist and broadcaster from London. He performs politically driven stand-up and has worked since 1985, touring in the UK and internationally. He also makes television, having completed seven series of his own Channel 4 show.

Alongside comedy, he writes a regular column for the New Statesman. His work is known for sharp wit and satire, and he combines performance with political activism.

The name also refers to a British composer with credits for film and television scores, and to a musician who founds the doom band All The Empires of The World, previously plays in Score One For Safety, and sometimes composes solo ambient passages.
