Mark Nightingale is a jazz and post-bop trombonist from Evesham, United Kingdom. Born in 1967, he is also a composer and writes extensively for trombone and other brass instruments.

Career

He plays trombone and works within jazz and post-bop. Before establishing his own group, Bone Structure, in the 1980s, he plays in the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. He is also a member of the London Studio Orchestra.

Writing and composition

Nightingale composes a large body of work for trombone and other brass instruments. He also writes a substantial collection of etudes for jazz brass players.
