Mark Eteson is a trance and progressive trance DJ, producer, radio presenter and voiceover artist associated with the UK electronic music scene. He becomes a resident for Godskitchen, where he works as a worldwide resident for one of electronic music’s major club brands.

DJ and live work

He plays at a wide range of events and venues, including UK Global Gathering, where he appears at four consecutive editions and opens and closes the main arena to crowds of more than 12,000 people. His bookings also take him to a cruise liner in Sweden, the Street Parade in Switzerland, open-air festivals in Russia, exhibition centres in Ukraine, indoor raves in Belarus and superclubs in Shanghai.

Production

As a producer, Eteson has a number one single and remixes for artists across the wider spectrum of dance and popular music. His debut release, Atlantic, receives support in Paul van Dyk’s Essential Mix. His bootleg of Cherry Whip runs for six consecutive weeks on Judge Jules’ BBC Radio 1 show. He also reaches number one on Beatport and iTunes with The Hymn, a collaboration with classical singers Zirenz on Anjunabeats, and the track becomes one of the label’s most successful releases of the year.

Radio and presenting

He develops a broadcasting career from a three-year university radio show, later taking guest slots at Ministry of Sound. He presents two monthly Godskitchen radio shows, an exclusive show on Afterhours.fm, and the Highway Radio Show and Podcast. Across the four shows he produces, compiles and presents, his estimated audience exceeds one million. He also compiles and mixes two Godskitchen albums for commercial release: Trance Anthems and Godskitchen Underground, the first residents’ compilation from the brand.

Voiceover and television

Eteson provides voiceover work for Angel Music Group events including Escape Into the Park and Global Gathering, and appears as the official voiceover artist for television adverts connected to major UK dance festivals. He also presents Gods TV broadcasts for events at the Birmingham superclub. In addition, he appears in the documentary series Behind the Dancefloor, alongside Judge Jules, following DJs at different stages of their careers.

Industry support

His work draws support from figures including Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery and Judge Jules. Van Buuren says that Eteson understands trance and makes it his own, while Above & Beyond note his regular presence on TATW and his touring sets with them.
