Mark Erelli

Mark Erelli is an American folk singer-songwriter from Boston, United States. He is also associated with Reading, Massachusetts and lives in Portland, Maine. Born in 1974, he works within folk and related singer-songwriter and country traditions, and is a member of Barnstar!.

Recordings and collaborations

His album Hope & Other Casualties is a collection of folk and Americana songs with varied arrangements. It includes “The Only Way”, a song written in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks and later covered by Ellis Paul and Vance Gilbert. On Compass & Companion, he collaborates with Kelly Willis on the title track.

Performing and production work

Erelli regularly tours in support of Kris Delmhorst, Lori McKenna and Catie Curtis, and he plays both acoustic and electric guitar. He works exclusively with producer Lorne Entress and co-produces Hillbilly Pilgrim and Hope & Other Casualties.
