Marcus Intalex is the stage name of Marcus Kaye, a British drum and bass DJ, producer and touring artist from Burnley, Manchester. He is active from 1991 until his death in 2017, and also works under the house and techno alias Trevino.

Career

From 1993 to 2000, Marcus Intalex co-hosts the drum-and-bass radio show Da Intalex on Kiss 102 FM in Manchester. He becomes associated with liquid funk and is one of several producers linked with the development of the style, alongside names such as Calibre, Peshay and High Contrast.

Record labels and projects

He founds the Soul:R, Revolve:R and Birdie recording labels, and also runs Soul:r. His production work with ST Files under the name M.I.S.T. (Marcus Intalex & ST Files) includes remixes of tracks such as Just a Vision and Sincere. With ST Files and Calibre, he forms the drum and bass group Mist:i:cal. Other associated acts include Da Intalex and M/CR Movement.
