Marciano
Marciano is the name of two different acts. One is a Chilean electronic music band formed by Sergio Lagos and Rodrigo Castro. The band begins in 1996, marks its 10th anniversary in 2006, and releases five studio albums between 1998 and 2005. In November 2012, it reunites to perform at the Creamfields electronic music festival in Chile.
The other Marciano is a Brazilian country singer, also known as The Inimitable and Marciano. He starts singing as a child at religious parties with his father, meets João Mineiro at 16, and later co-founds the duo João Mineiro & Marciano. The duo has its greatest success during the 1970s to 1990s. In 1993, he begins a solo career and composes more than 150 songs for himself and other artists. He receives a Latin Grammy Award nomination in 2005 and forms a new duo with Milionário in 2016 under the name Milionário & Marciano. He dies in 2019 in São Caetano do Sul.
