March Of The Raptors

March Of The Raptors are a London band formed in 2009. Their line-up includes Jamie Searle on vocals, David G Ball on guitars and vocals, David R Robinson on guitars, Tom Harriman on drums and Calvin Shipman on bass and vocals. The band is associated with thrash and hardcore, and their sound combines rapid beats, heavy guitar riffs, gang vocals and melodic passages.

The group is fronted by Jamie Searle, who previously plays in Adequate Seven, while the project is masterminded by the Daves of Fireapple Red. Their wider membership includes past and present players from *shels, Mahumodo, Devil Sold His Soul and Smoking Hearts. For the recording of their debut album, the drums are tracked with Jonny Renshaw of Devil Sold His Soul, while the rest of the record is recorded and mixed by the band themselves in bedrooms and basements around London.

Their lyrics address fear, anxiety, political oppression and brutality carried out in the name of religion, with a recurring contrast between despair and a limited sense of hope. Their self-titled debut album is released in 2010.
