Marc Rebillet

Marc Rebillet is an American electronic musician and YouTuber from Dallas, United States, born in 1988. He makes improvised songs built from looped voice, keyboards, percussion and other instruments, and presents much of his work through YouTube videos and Twitch livestreams.

Background

Rebillet starts piano at the age of four and studies classical music until age 15 while attending Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas. He later attends Southern Methodist University to study acting, but leaves after one year. Before his music career develops, he works for around ten years in other jobs, including as a server, an executive assistant and in a corporate call centre. He also records music under the name Leae during this period. He lives in New York City for a time from 2011 and returns to Dallas in 2014 to care for his father, who has Alzheimer’s disease.

Music and style

Rebillet begins his professional music career in 2016 by publishing live-streamed performances and bedroom recordings of improvised songs, often from his apartment, bedroom or hotel rooms. These performances frequently include dancing in boxer briefs and draw live prompts from viewers, who contact him directly or comment during streams.
