Marc Mac

Marc Mac is a UK electronic music producer and one half of 4hero. He also records and works under a number of other names and projects, including Manix, Jacob’s Optical Stairway, Visioneers, Tom and Jerry and Cold Mission.

With 4hero, he helps found the drum and bass label Reinforced Records, which becomes an important part of UK electronic music. His work spans hip hop and electronic music, and his production credits include tracks for Jill Scott, Vikter Duplaix, Ultra Nate, Terry Callier, Ursula Rucker and Shaun Escoffery.

He also builds a large remix catalogue, working on material associated with artists including Masters At Work and John Coltrane. In the early 1990s, he produces under the name Manix.
