Manhattan Coast

Manhattan Coast is a Welsh group from South Wales, formed in 2012. The band is made up of Nick Lane, Geraint Rees, Adam Jones, Simon Butcher and Lloyd Williams.

Style and influences

The group plays alternative rock and is described as drawing influence from bands such as Deaf Havana and Thrice. Its sound is characterised by prominent melody, a strong vocal lead and a rhythm section that supports the songs with a heavy, anthemic feel.

Recordings

Manhattan Coast releases the Never Tell Me The Odds EP, which appears in the band’s early catalogue, and the Beg, Borrow, or Steal EP. For the latter release, the band records five new tracks with Todd Campbell of Straight Lines. The group also circulates free downloads through SoundCloud.
