Mammal Club
Mammal Club are a Newcastle upon Tyne-based three-piece band. The group consists of Wilson Astley on guitar and lead vocals, Adam Hiles on guitar and Colin Liddle on drums. It is formed by former members of Yourcodenameis:milo and The Eyejab.
Activity and local following
The band develops a strong following in its local area and plays support slots for Everything Everything and Little Comets. It also appears at several festivals, including The Great Escape, Stag and Dagger, and Evolution Festival.
Recordings and live work
The band's debut release is The Au EP. It is recorded in the group’s lock-up in a secret location in Newcastle. That space serves not only as a rehearsal room, but also as a place for video sessions of the band’s tracks and for intimate gigs that the group organises occasionally.
End of the band
In August 2012, the band says that it decides to end Mammal Club, citing dissatisfaction with the music scene.
