Mama Moonshine is a London-based four-piece group with a sound rooted in soul, funk and blues. The band draws on a wide range of influences, including Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin on one side and The Black Keys and Red Hot Chili Peppers on the other, combining funk jams with blues rhythms.

Live activity

Mama Moonshine builds its reputation through live performance and is known for energetic shows. The group twice sells out The Camden Enterprise and also plays other London venues including Proud Galleries, Charlie Wright’s and Troy Bar. Beyond the capital, the band performs at Audio Farm Festival 2014, as well as Brighton’s Brunswick and Lancaster’s Apothecary.

The group also makes national radio appearances, adding to its presence in the London music scene.
