Makthaverskan

Makthaverskan are a Swedish group from Gothenburg, active since 2008. Their music sits within dream pop, indie rock and post-punk, and also draws on noise, jangle and garage-punk energy.

The band’s sound combines distorted, uptempo riffs with atmospheric post-punk textures, with pop-like hooks appearing across the songs. Their second album, II, is released on Run for Cover Records.

Maja Milner fronts the group and is the only named member in the available information. Her sharp, soaring vocal style is a central part of the band’s sound, cutting through heavy reverb and layered guitars.
