Mak & Pasteman

Mak & Pasteman are a London duo associated with house and techno music. They begin working together in 2011, developing a sound rooted in UK underground club music and drawing on house, techno and jungle. Their work also sits within UK funky, UK garage, bass and future garage.

The pair break out through the Leeds music scene and go on to release music on Redlight’s Lobster Boy label. Their breakthrough release on that label receives support from Loefah, Jackmaster and Oneman. They also put out an EP on Breach’s Naked Naked label and issue the second volume of their M.A.P white label series.

The duo’s output is described through the combination of their name forms, Mak & Pasteman and Mak and Pasteman, and their music remains tied to the underground styles that shape their early studio work.
