Maison book girl

Maison book girl is a Japanese art pop and j-pop group active from 2014 to 2021. The group is originally known as Book House Girl and is sometimes abbreviated as BookGa.

Formation and line-up

The group forms in July 2014 and is produced by Sakurai Kenta. Its line-up includes Koshoji Megumi, Yagawa Aoi, Inoue Yui and Wada Rin, with the authoritative membership also listing Munemoto Kanori. Koshoji Megumi previously appears in BiS, and Yagawa Aoi is a Miss iD 2015 finalist.

Activities and releases

Maison book girl gives its first live performance at @JAM the Field vol.6 in November 2014. Its first two singles, White and Black, are released simultaneously in March 2015 as limited editions sold only at live music venues. The group’s first album, Bath Room, follows in September 2015, and its third single, summer continue, is released in March 2016.

Style and wider work

Alongside music, the group promotes fashion, art and street culture, and it often works with fashion and graphic designers.

End of activity

The group disbands in 2021 after a performance at Solitude HOTEL at Maihama Amphitheater in Chiba.
