Maika
Maika is a name used by more than one artist. One is the solo project of Maika Maile, who is the former lead singer of There for Tomorrow and the current vocalist for AFTRHR. Another is MAiKA, a Croatian/Serbian band with an electronic-based sound that combines alternative dance, indie pop and punk. The third is a project started by Aria in 2000, with songs built around strong melodies and themes including doomsday theories, dark horror stories, love songs and frustration.

MAiKA
MAiKA is a Croatian/Serbian band whose sound combines electronic music with alternative dance, indie pop and punk. The group includes Luka Lopicic on accordion and synth, Nikola Vukotic on drums and programming, Ida Prester on vocals, Petar Stojanovic on bass guitar, Dušan Murišić on trumpet, and Silvija Stanišić on vocals.
Maika
The Maika project begins in 2000, when Aria starts it with co-writer and guitar player Micro. The group moves from western Norway to Oslo to develop its sound through recordings and live performances. Its songs are arranged so they work both with vocals and a single guitar and with a full band, and they feature strong melodic writing. In May 2005, the project appears as front page band on the independent music site Uhørt, and the underground track “Concave Glass” becomes particularly associated with it. The track “Noches locas de amor” is also associated with Maika, and the project is tagged with reggaeton.
