Maga Bo is a DJ and producer based between Seattle and Brazil. He works with an international mix of styles, combining location recordings, rhythm and melody fragments, and electronic production into tracks that draw on hip hop, ragga, breakbeat and jungle drum and bass. His sound also incorporates batucada, rai, capoeira and bhangra, alongside altered electronic beats and street sounds.

He has a long-standing base at Commando Digital in Rio de Janeiro, and much of his work involves travelling to record with musicians in different places. He uses a portable laptop studio for DJing and production, and his work brings together material from Brazil, Morocco, Senegal, India and other locations.
