Madeline

Madeline Adams performs under the name Madeline and is a folk singer-songwriter from Athens, United States. She is associated with the US folk and folk punk scene and has worked between Athens, Georgia and Bloomington, Indiana.

As a teenager, she moves from Athens, Georgia to Bloomington to work with the punk label Plan-It-X Records, which is linked with artists including Japanther, Against Me and Defiance, Ohio. After several years and many punk tours, she returns to Athens and works with Orange Twin Records.

Her recordings include several albums made in collaboration with Phosphorescent, the Athens-based Elephant 6 Collective, Phil Elverum of Mt. Eerie, and Karl Blau of The Microphones. Her Athens connections also place her alongside the Elephant 6 network, including Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control and Nana Grizol.

The name Madeline is also used by at least two other artists: an Australian artist who releases I Think I Love You in 2007, and a French singer who records and performs under the same name on streaming platforms and social media.
