Lynx is a UK drum and bass artist and producer, also known as Steve Nobes. He works within drum and bass and is associated with liquid funk and related club styles.

Career

Lynx is active as a producer and DJ in the drum and bass scene. His work becomes prominent in the late 2000s, when productions such as “Disco Dodo” and “Carnivale” with Kemo gain wide play on dance floors. DJ Hype includes both tracks on his Drum and Bass Arena compilation for that year.

He releases material on several labels across the drum and bass circuit, including Detail Recordings, RAM Records, Creative Source and Hospital Records. At one point he is set to release an album titled Am Lynx. His DJ sets cover a broad range of drum and bass styles.

Performances and collaborations

Lynx plays alongside artists including Grooverider, Adam F and EZ Rollers during a residency at Club Jongleurs in Portsmouth. He also performs at Suburbahn in Rennes and appears on French radio stations.

Among his notable collaborations is work with Kemo on “Carnivale”.
