Lynched

Lynched is a traditional folk group from Dublin, Ireland. The group combines four-part vocal harmonies with arrangements for uilleann pipes, concertina, Russian accordion, fiddle and guitar.

History

The act begins as an experimental psychedelic folk punk duo formed in the early 2000s by brothers Ian Lynch and Daragh Lynch. It goes through a number of line-up changes and other incarnations before becoming a four-piece traditional folk group. In 2016, the band changes its name to Lankum.

Other work

Alongside its main activity, the group takes part in several musical projects, including recording for film soundtracks and television documentaries.
