Luna Kills

Luna Kills is an alternative metal and alternative rock group from Kuopio, Finland, active since 2017. The band also works within nu metal and pop metal, and its sound combines alternative and nu-metal elements with electronics inspired by game soundtracks.

Line-up

The group features Lotta Ruutiainen on vocals, with Samuli Paasineva on guitar, Lassi Peltonen on bass, and Jimi Kinnunen on drums. Ruutiainen’s singing background is in jazz, and she is also noted for her fry scream vocals.

Career

Luna Kills performs a live show associated with energetic, mosh-pit-heavy audiences. The band’s music appears in the mobile game Beatstar, and it attracts attention from rock radio in Finland. It is signed to SharpTone Records and is moving towards its first full-length album. The group releases DEATHMATCH in 2025.
