Luke May is a singer-songwriter from the UK who performs with acoustic and rock-influenced material. His influences range from Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra to artists such as Josh Weller, Andy McKee, Ryan Adams, Neal Casal, Ian Parker, Dashboard Confessional and Taking Back Sunday in acoustic form.

Career

May is described as a local artist with a growing following and as someone seen by promoters and other musicians as having broader potential. By the age of 14, he is asked to contribute guitar to Leatherat’s album Temporary Immortality, on the track “Doing Wrong”. His playing is heard on pub jukeboxes around the world.

He has written enough material for more than two albums and performs a varied set of songs. His live appearances include the Mill Arts Centre and the Chacombe Beer Festival, where he appears three years in succession. He also plays support slots at a range of local venues and is repeatedly asked back.
