16 year old Luke May is a young up and coming singer songwriter whose influences range from the likes of Elvis Presely / Frank Sinatra to the more present days artists such as Josh Weller / Andy McKee /Ryan Adams / Neal Casal / Ian Parker/ Dashboard Confessionals / Taking Back Sunday (acoustic) and many more.. Luke is a popular artist locally with an ever expanding fan base liked by all who meet him. Punters, other local musicians and promoters see in Luke the potential to go all the way. Thus, to his credit he was asked at the age of 14 to lay guitar down on Leatherats' album Temporary Immortality, song title 'Doing Wrong' which can be heard on pub juke boxes around the world. Being dedicated to his gift and having self penned over two albums worth of material to date Luke has been able to deliver a varied and entertaining performance at the following venues: The Mill Arts Centre, The Chacombe Beer Festival (three years in a row) as well as many support slots at various local venues and has always been asked to return.
